The PS4S makes a noticeable increase in longitudinal grip (i.e. DSC off, 1st gear, 2nd gear acceleration) especially at mid-temperatures (say 50F where the PSS is already a nightmare to try to get it to hook up). Also, overall the PS4S reaches higher total grip in cornering and braking vs the PSS both in the wet and dry.
Versus the PSS, the PS4S has a very slightly less steep response line (i.e. cornering force versus slip angle) on its way to higher ultimate cornering force. I assume this is due to the very nice improvement in ride quality and especially tire noise versus the PSS.
