The car is larger than its 3 series predecessors: more than 2 inches longer, wider, and taller. No manual transmission will be offered  . I don't care for the styling, either.
But nevertheless, 0-60 in 4.2 seconds puts it right up there with the M2C (and the OG M2 even more so) in a straight line. I'm sure it will lack the more purist feel of the M2 (and personally, I'd take the M2 even if it was slower in a straight line), but I'm still just a bit annoyed that BMW has blurred the lines to such an extent -- particularly because every fourth car on the road is a 3 Series and with the newly condensed lineup, I'm sure we'll see a trillion of these. |
You should mention OG M2 in that too, it will go 4.1 sec 0-60
