To me, the armrest in both my F36 and F22 was a pain.
It had a contactless charger in it; pity my phone wouldn't fit in it.
Then if I wanted to keep anything else in there, the lid wouldn't shut.
And if I put nothing in it, my 4-legged son Mikey would jump on the lid and go surfing when the lid slid forward, which inevitably would have him bounce on to the gear stick and you can imagine the rest .... pretty funny really
I'm actually looking forward to not taking Mikey out with me, as much as I'll enjoy not having the armrest
