I find this to be one more exhibit which shows we are at the end of sports cars as we currently know and appreciate them.
Let me elaborate on this, I find it common for a car company to do things such as this when nearing the end of current platforms. Artist collaboration of this kind has not been done before for a production vehicle, at least not to my recollection. Creating these now obvious future collectibles which are destined to be enshrined in a lucky man's or woman's garage, is just a parting gift for the gear heads.
A front engine, six-speed manual, rear drive sports car of this sort is just no longer going to be overly developed. It's just a matter of time.
In a way it makes me sad, but it's an inevitable truth. I may not be a huge fan of this fact, but it is going to happen nonetheless. I guess in a way this reminds me of this fact. Just my two cents.
