Read the bulletin, no where does it mention warranty. A decrease in warranty coverage would be a much bigger deal and send ripples across the auto industry.
Reduced service and maintenance - not a small deal, but given their lofty sales achievements, brand expansion, and steady growth, the bean counters figured to add a bit more to the bottom line.
Will def miss the free wiper blades; but most of the services were dictated and regulated by the onboard computer anyways, which kept things at 1 oil change and set of wipers a yr, and brakes/pads and clutch when needed (maybe the 4th yr, maybe not).
