You should look into adding weight to the stock shifter/knob if you want to keep your car stock. I added tiny tungsten beads to the inside of my OEM knob (Audi) and it made a nice improvement to the shift feel. Other guys have added thin lead tape by winding it around the bottom of the shift lever (under the vehicle) to get the same effect. Either way, adding weight does make a noticeably better feel when shifting.
