shipping stabilizers

So, get this. I owned a 2013 135is that I sold last February when I ordered my M2 which arrived in September, so I've been driving the M2 for six months (3500 miles so far). Bear with me. The guy to whom I sold my 135is just emailed me and told me that he found out that the shipping stabilizers WERE STILL IN THE CAR! Apparently the stabilizers are somehow attached to the shocks? No damage done (luckily), but I assume it made the ride stiffer and changed the handling. Must have, eh? Anyway, I bought my M2 from the same dealer as the 135is and I've had problems with them so I never want to go near them again... and ... finally getting to my question, does anyone know where or how to check to see if the dealership removed shipping stabilizers from the M2, how to look for them and what they look like? I wouldn't be surprised if they left them in my suspension.
