Uhhh....there is a very good reason to physically bypass: the ASD module has a PA in it and that leads to audio distortion even if it's not pumping out crap. Best just to cut it out of the audio chain. I'm not saying the result is pristine audio, but at least you're one step closer. It's a $65, 45-minute job. Best mod I've ever done to a car.
