AFAIK, there is no difference between the M2 sound systems and those of any other 2 Series, so it should work. An added benefit to coding is that this harness apparently eliminates much of the system 'noise' caused by the ASD module, which is technically a power amp in design. That one benefit makes the stereo system sound significantly better. with no other mods.

Edit: This thread discusses that benefit. It's quite eye opening in terms of how BMW implements ASD in the 2 Series. Pretty punitive.
