What makes these palatable is that theyre narrow, carbon fiber, and unobtrusive. Nobody wants big honking old fashioned mud flaps. But the criteria that they be unobtrusive to gain wide appeal is exactly what, to me, makes them look like theyd be largely ineffective at stopping a lot of potential road rash and stone/gravel damage. They look to be about an inch wide. Might stop some, but I doubt they stop most. I have larger PPF applications on the rear hips and have rockers covered, and that seems to be doiing the job so far.
