Maybe that because there really isn't any cold air coming into the intake to begin with! They should retest after re-plumbing the intake snorkels to draw clean cold air in from the front grill
I tracked my car so far 9 times and some of those were on 100+F weather this summer. I was running the BM3 CS+ map and my oil temp never exceeded 230F. In other words, never even got close to experiencing any sort of heat soak on this car.
