That said, I don't believe it's really track focused. I think it's just throw CF parts on it, remove a few quality of life features to save 15 pounds, bump HP by 10 via software, add an exclusive color, and charge 40% more. Maybe you get the magnesium oil pan.
If they ONLY gave it the MT it would probably sell better to tell you the truth, making it more "special"

It's interesting that this is said to be a US only model, while the US would not get the CSL. The manual trans take rate on the m2 was said to be 50% in the US. It would make sense to me for manual to be an option, if not the only option, for a limited run spec. Then build one for the rest of the world with a DCT and maybe some changes that wouldn't pass DOT regs in the US.
