I noticed I only get SMS, and RTS (android version if ichat kinda) messages do not go through iDrive. If you eneabled "advanced messaging" or whatever your phone calls it, and so has the person the message is with, it won't go through the car.
But if you're not getting normal SMS, then it's something else though.
BMW sucks when it comes to phone integration IMO. Wish the M2 got android auto.
