M2 CS base price poll for no M-DCT + no M-CCB | UPDATE Nov 6, 2019: €95K base price

Though currently still waiting for confirmation about standard features and options later this Autumn, we may assume that the M2 CS will come fairly kitted out stock from factory, with only a small list of options. The M2 CS base price has not been officially released yet.

Earlier this month an "around €95K" quote for the German market was leaked:

Got an info today [Sep 9, 2019] by somebody high up at BMW that we're gonna be looking at around 95k € base which would prove your point Artemis - caught me off guard though I must say.
Was hoping for 80k € base.
Scenario 1: if the ± €95K base price quote would be accurate:
  • ± 60% extra compared to the original M2 (2016 list price) = ± €95K;
  • ± 45% extra compared to the M2 Competition (2019 list price) = ± €95K.
Rough conversion math for the US (proportional change: % instead of currency conversion):
  • ± $53K (original M2 2016 US list price) + ± 60% = ± $85K;
  • ± $59K (M2 Competition 2019 US list price) + ± 45% = ± $85K.
Conclusion 1: M2 CS base price guesstimate of ± $85K for the US and ± €95K for Germany (VAT included).

More recently the German car magazine Sport Auto specified "ca. 90000" as M2 CS base price and "ca. 102000" with M-DCT (± €3900) and M-CCB (± €7900) options included (indicated as "driving dynamics relevant extras") (see the dedicated thread here):

Scenario 2: if the ± €90K base price quote would be accurate:
  • ± 52% extra compared to the original M2 (2016 list price) = ± €90K;
  • ± 38% extra compared to the M2 Competition (2019 list price) = ± €90K.
Rough conversion math for the US (proportional change: % instead of currency conversion):
  • ± $53K (original M2 2016 US list price) + ± 52% = ± $81K;
  • ± $59K (M2 Competition 2019 US list price) + ± 38% = ± $81K.
Conclusion 2: M2 CS base price guesstimate: ± $81K for the US and ± €90K for Germany (VAT included).

Beware, don't take these guesstimates for granted. Nothing has been confirmed yet.

So, what do you consider 'the right price' for the M2 CS, if fairly kitted out stock from factory (without options such as M-DCT or M-CCB) ?

Keep in mind: never included in the base price of M cars:
  • M-DCT option on M4: Germany: €3900 (VAT included) | US: $2900
  • M-CCB option on M4: Germany: €7900 (VAT included) | US: $8150
  • total on M4 for both: Germany: €11800 (VAT included) | US: $11050
Feel free to tick the box of your choice in the poll above this message.
