Hm, that's pretty thirsty. Do you happen to live in the mountains ?
My rule of thumb:
- spirited driving: each quarter of the fuel gauge represents ± 75 km (± 47 mi);
- normal driving (including city): each quarter of the fuel gauge represents ± 100 km (± 62 mi);
- highway cruising: each quarter of the fuel gauge represents ± 125 km (± 78 mi).
