Well - I've never sat in an M2 with a sunroof. But I would be *stunned* to find that an M2 with a sunroof had different headroom dimensions than an M240i with a sunroof. I seriously doubt the parts are different.
I do have friend though who is 2 inches shorter than I am - and has very real headroom issues in cars that I find to be just fine. And yes I do track cars with a helmet, so I take that into consideration as well.
To know for sure - you have to try it yourself. But I've gotta think an M240i is absolutely equivalent to an M2 in terms of headroom (talking US models here).
Anybody know differently?
