A couple of annoying things if you're wanting to hear the actual engine/exhaust from inside:
1) No natural engine sound available to your ears, unless you roll down the windows and rev it. In other words you are prevented from being aware of what the engine/exhaust sounds like.
2) The ASD does not correctly measure engine load to replicate the sound and volume appropriately - it gives bad feedback. That 75-80mph example is one example.
So it's like while driving you're in one reality with the real engine/exhaust
(people outside of the car can hear this). But inside your car, constantly fighting to replace that reality, is an imposing, artificial, unfaithful video-game sound effect generator.
