I have my backseats in, and 4 tires will fit. I put the rear tires in first, one in each seat, then the fronts. I put them in with the treads facing the windows and the wheels against the seatbacks, so perpendicular to the photo above. When I put the fronts in, I turn the wheel cavities toward the front, giving more room for the driver and passenger seats. Works great.
