Are you saying that the M2 is not 1495 and is 1570? What are you saying do you have numbers?
you are correct on the 1M but wrong on the M2.

here is the 1M info you quoted..

See the current BMW website as it is today..

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...fications.aspx

M2 Curb Weight – Manual transmission (lbs) - 3505

M2 Curb Weight – Automatic transmission (lbs) - 3450 lbs

you know what's funny.. the info is BACKWARDS... on the website just goes to show you how typos occur.. as I said earlier.

1M 6MT is 3296 lbs - 1495 kg -
M2 6MT is 3450 lbs - 1564 kg - Euro printed spec is 1570 kg ?
M2 DCT is 3505 lbs - 1589 kg - euro printed spec is 1585 kg ?

since the original day that M2 literature came out with the incorrect figure of 1495 which was the 1M weight.... I have been amazed that people can think that BMW can manufacture two different vehicles.. with different parts content.. 5 years apart.. and have them come down to the same exact weight.... DOWN TO A SINGLE POUND? come on man!
It has been well documented on this forum that 1570kg is EU regulations weight which includes
75kg for driver, fuel and luggage. Back this out and you are at DIN weight 1495kg.

Nope. Perhaps you didn't hear me? Come on man!?

I don't need to do unneeded math when I know that the euro page has a misprint.

The figures are right there on the US website

I will however he happy to bring my 1M to a scale.

Actually... @1M_Tex has an M2 ( and a 1M )

How about I see if he and I can make a date at Autoscope in Dallas and put out cars on the scales.

Then we will know for sure .. and once I've proved it ... you can still keep playing euro math games. Just Like the people that were circle jerking over the M2 closed deck vs open deck ... ..

Here is the full BMW CAR and Driver Insturmented test..
