I've got a DJI Mavic Air 2. It does have very effective tracking modes built in, though I didn't use them on this particular trip. Because I was by myself, I didn't want the distraction of trying to watch the drone while driving. In a few spots I just had it hover as I drove past, otherwise I was out of the car shooting pics or filming video. The best scenario is when I'm with other people, and can actively film them while they drive or ride. Here's an example of that from a trip I did with some buddies last month:
