On my wife's F80 the tacho has warm up lights, i.e., yellow and red lights that artificially lower the redline of the engine until the engine is warm. I love these things. However, from what I can tell the new M2C doesn't have a similar setup. I know that the new gauges are digital-like, but can we confirm that there is no similar functionality in the tacho on the M2C?
As far as I know, the digital cluster is the same as in the M2 LCI, so, it won't have it.
Yep, that's what I figured. That's a bummer, that's one thing about M that I have always liked, which is protecting that engine. Surprised too given that it's the same engine as in the F80 but then again not surprised that they didn't redo a whole system just for that for a car that will be sold only for 1-3 years.
