Yes, that the conversion I was referring to; I confirmed the VAT is 20% off £85,000 you quoted and came up with a rough calculation of $85,000 USD - give or take a few bucks..
Here, in the US, the tax rate percentage varies by state but it's not "included" in overall sticker price, as it's done in Europe. |
Keep in mind a direct currency conversion does not give us our USD MSRP. BMWNA has control over this and prices things specific to our market/country. ...at one point I heard "in the 70's" for USD base. Time will tell. |
There is no magical "control" here. BMW NA prices things based on Euro pricing minus VAT and then converts it.
So based on that 85k euros price tag the price in US should be between $77-80k without any options.
Pretty underwhelming at that price...and 0 weight savings is what makes this a CS and not a CSL.
