There are a LOT of dumb people, and even more shady people that want to sell you their broken crap.
But when you DO find something that's a good deal, and the seller is nice it's worth it. I remember when I bought my yamaha r1 from this guy who had a kid and gave up riding- he was the nicest seller I've ever met. Explained a bunch of stuff, his bike (and everything i saw- his car, house, garage set up) was super clean and taken care of. And when I bought the bike he gave me all of his maintanance items (chain lube+ more) and all of his helmets and wished me good luck.
But then again there are a LOT of people that will lie, and try to cheat you out of your had earned money.
