It's always going to be a personal decision. Could be aesthetics like you described. For others it will just not make sense financially.
For others like me I won't event need to see or drive the car to want the new power plant because I do plan to mod it.
I traded mine without even seeing the car and all the numbers worked perfectly.

Yeah. Worst case, I get a good deal on a 2020. The dealer marked up my car as soon as I released it back to them- 8k.
