Partially incorrect. Throttle response to sport plus enables MDM by default. If it is set as an M button, you must press twice to confirm.
I drive in mdm almost all the time. But note, traction control is VERY limited in MDM mode. The car will really get sideways before it intervenes.

Respectfully disagree that sport+ turns on MDM. There is a distinct difference with sport+ and MDM on/off. Also, the gauge cluster doesn't reflect showing MDM being on when I go into sport+, but if you push the stability button it'll turn on the squiggly car lamp (technical term) and show MDM in the cluster.
