I agree PPF is much more resistant to swirling when compare to paint. I only mentioned the possibility as I have seen film with terrible swirling. That said, the owner(s) likely abused the film.

Xpel's webpage reads that even swirling is self-healing so my assertion otherwise was incorrect. However, an Xpel customer service rep told me otherwise.
