You know some dealers are running cars for just one day or short periods and offer them much more cheaper as slightly used for one day instead of brand new. If they use the car just with a dealer number plate and no official one (if that is a method within the US) the first service entry isn't filed anywhere.
If no one has bought the car the gap between first in-service and later on sold is correct. Also that the warranty runs from the very first day into service is right.
Not sure if that may help for your decision, if I were you and really interested to buy, just pay the dealer a visit and check that out.
