I don't remember exactly how or when I measured the gap and my car isn't with me right now but I don't recall it being that difficult to measure the distance between the brace and the condenser. I may have even done it through the front opening. VRSF first told me that it could be installed without removing the front bumper which wasn't true. They basically indicated that I didn't know what I was doing. Then they said that it would fit with no problem and no interference issues which was not correct either. They said that it fit just fine on their vehicle with no modifications even though the picture they had on their web site showed the brace removed. Now they say they're building one that doesn't require modification to the vehicle. Caveat emptor.
