Besides: AFAIK, BMW harnesses are not easy to procure. That's one reason speaker pigtails are not readily available for them.

Sure and if I decide to swap out my speakers I should pay up and buy the BavSound set instead of sourcing my own speakers and instead of making pigtails to plug into the stock wiring, I'll cut off the factory ends and splice the speaker wires to the cut wire. And I won't waste my time reading and sharing information on forums.
