For the times when I have to carry 3 kids in the car, it's recommended to put the passenger seat all the way back so the child in the front is furthest from the airbag so just want to check how much room there is for the kid behind (I'll always use the back seats first and it's very unusual I have to carry 3 but just checking in case I ever do)
I really prefer the M2 but this info might make all the difference between M2 vs. M3.

Seems excessive but if that's how you roll just go sit in a 2 series at a dealer and see what the kids think.
