Yes, I still have bluetooth audio and phone. I don't think I had to pair it again. I paired the phone to car twice that I remember and both times where to get Carplay working. I don't remember having to do it a third time when I turned off Carplay. I knew Carplay would be something I don't really care about but for $300 I figured I'd get it to make the car easier to sell later. It won't matter that it sucks, just that it has it
