+1

My E39 M5 has been my daily driver for over 11 years. I'm at 94K miles now. A few years ago, when it probably had 75K miles on it, I needed to replace the throw-out bearing as it was creaking. While I was there I decided to replace the clutch given the labor involved. I (and the my mechanic) was surprised how much life was left in the clutch when it was pulled. The E39 M5 can eat catches for lunch if you don't know what you are doing. Foot OFF the clutch before you engage full throttle.
