It's "condition based" so mile or time, whatever is earlier.
Isn't the oil change free? You have 3 years of free maintenance so regardless of mile or time might as well use it up right?
If you delay it, then by the 3rd oil change (which is when plugs are changed too) you'll be out of free maintenance and thus will need to pay for it (or DIY).
