Even though I grew up in Switzerland and have been to Germany many times, I still want to a ED so bad. It's been on my bucket list for 20+ years, but I was never patient enough to wait for a new car and/or family got in the way. One question. How scary is the traffic on the Ring? I have 30+track days and never have issues at HDPE's with other cars, faster or slower. I can hold my own in advanced groups, but have seen so many videos of crazy things at the Ring, that I am slightly apprehensive taking a brand new car there. Maybe you mentioned it in your write up, sorry! I did not read all of it yet.

Maybe you should consider to rent a car to drive on the 'Ring. Apex has cars for as little as 40 euros per lap. Apex is run by Misha aka Boosted Boris. You can also opt to pay a little bit extra just in case you crash the rental or someone hits you. I think its a good way to go for Tourist Fahrt laps of the 'Ring.
