But yeah the AD08R have a wider contact patch than most tires rated at the same width, plus their sidewalls are stiff/blocky. With a 40 series tire and a similar overall diameter as the OEM 19s, I'm not surprised about the weight difference (or lack thereof).

there you go! the car is on stock suspension with 5mm spacers all around
in my opinion the fitment with the fender is almost perfect
now it only needs some proper suspension to get a little lower
but the tires came out quite nice! I really like the higher sidewalls |

Here in Canada, apparently it's getting more and more difficult to source a set of AD08R. I feel they may getting discontinued soon due to their age, and Advan also showcases a new concept tire at Toyko Auto Salon on the Yokohama Supra. If so, I really hope they retain a lot of their current daily-able traits; it's why I feel this is such a great tire. A great one for the track, and still controllable on the street in wet conditions.
