I considered replacing my F80 with a Model 3. I've test driven all the available trims including an overnight test drive of a Performance model. The power is great from 5 mph to about 90 mph, lots of torque that is instant. The acceleration drops off rapidly over 90 mph and it doesn't feel fast on the highway from say 70-100+.

The interior is pretty meh, the materials feel kind of cheap. The seats aren't real leather, but rather some artificial vinyl. The tech is pretty cool and I could really see autopilot being super useful in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway.

In the end I just couldn't justify the 70K+ for the car, it feels like a mid 30's car and the looks are pretty dumpy looking even for the Performance edition (they all look the same). If they would have released the 32k base model I probably would have taken one optioned up to low 40's minus the 7500 federal incentive but it looks like the incentive will fade before they release the base model so I got my 1k deposit back.
