BMW customers shopping for a new X3 luxury SUV currently pay either AUD$429 or AUD$623 for a three-year Apple CarPlay subscription, depending on whether their car is subject to luxury car tax.
But the company will soon drop that in favour of an annual charge of about AUD$150.
My 2016 Oct build didn't come with Apple CarPlay, I don't think I'll use it if it's subscription instead of one-off payment like most other car manufactures offer.

Some say we can just code and enable the CarPlay (still on iDrive 5.0, focus on driving, not really touching anything not handling related...).
