Agree. I also brought along TrackkTape, but decided not to use it...German roads are so well maintained, I had 0 chips over 10 days of driving.

I curbed a 666 rim on my previous M3, which also has a machined front. After the repair, it looked perfect. They sand it down and polish it, so if you look REALLY close at the right angle you can tell it was fixed. But even a foot away it looks new. |
If it has a tinted clear coat sanding it will make it shiney.
