Since this thread was brought from the dead I'll chime in with my preference:
I prefer everything about the pre-LCI interior including the old school gauges. I don't see the lights as significant improvement. Sure, the new ones will look less dated in 10 years but I really don't care.
If I was looking for a used M2 I would focus on manual transmission, mileage, price, and MPE in this order.
