This would be more relevant to people who drive 6spd manual. Obviously if you drove DCT it wouldnt matter since the computer shifts for you and use can use the navi as the speedo.
Since LED lights practically last forever it is very likely that if the backlight goes out the whole panel would likely blank out.
I still maintain that with the pre LCI or not it would need to be urgently fixed. The argument doesn't hold water.
