you can read the dials in the day time on the pre-lci since its just a gray gauge face. As another poster pointed out...the lci has tinted gauges which look blackouted when the backlight is off. Both would need to be replaced but at least with the pre-lci you would be able to drive around during the day.

This would be more relevant to people who drive 6spd manual. Obviously if you drove DCT it wouldnt matter since the computer shifts for you and use can use the navi as the speedo.
