I went to sebring in the middle of summer with an ess tune and a stock heat exchanger and beat it around all day in sub 2:30 lap times and never once did the car pull any power. I even got out of the car after a full session and put my hand on the heat exchanger and it was almost cool to the touch. The stock cooling system is fantastic and I wouldn't start changing it because some guy on the internet or a shop told you to. One thing I would suggest from personal experience is brake cooling ducts. They made an incredible difference for very little money.
