I just don't understand why rev matching isn't a standalone switch. Cost savings on not adding one more switch? Both Nissan and Chevy have standalone switches for their systems... it can't be that hard.

Especially not hard since it is a software thing to switch it on or off. A setting in iDrive is hardly any effort for a software engineer.
