Had a conversation a couple of decades ago with Wife #2 (alias "The Blister") on an evening a couple of months after we had verbally dissolved our union after coming to the inescapable conclusion that we were beings from different galaxies. We were still cohabitating for the sake of logistics. She came to visit me on the front porch one Spring evening, where the dogs and I had settled in for a relaxing evening during which my Weimaraner "Irv" and I would split a case of beer (okay, I drank 70% of it). She tearfully, and with great anguish, confessed that she had kissed some other guy. I calmly reassured her that she had obviously mistaken me for someone who gave a f*ck.
