First off, they do not have the same grip as the 4S. They are livelier and do have a more progressive break away characteristic. They feel like they have a stiffer sidewall as well. I have less than 1k on them but i do have enough miles that there should not be any mold release impacting the feel.
The 4S has more ultimate grip. At least that is what I am feeling at the moment.
