Lastly, on the M2C front, I think that BMW really neutered the savageness of the S55. The M2C didn't really feel all that much faster than our OG M2 (I drive them back to back on all three M2C test drives) and there was that "fizz" missing, at least from my perspective. That's why I didn't buy one, because in stock form, I didn't feel enough differentiation to warrant having two versions of the M2 in my garage (OG and M2C).[/QUOTE]

I've driven both versions of the M2 back to back multiple times.

IMO there are several differences that show up.

1) Power is much more linear with the S55 motor(and it pulls right to redline) The N55 has a lower more abrupt torque kick.

2) The N55 can overheat at HPDE's the S55 will not...(Air to Water vs Air to Air IC's)

3) The S55 motor easily produces around 500 WHP with a Stg 2 tune. The N55 struggles to reach 400WHP due to FP issues.

4) The N55 sounds MUCH Better than the S55 with OEM exhausts.

5) Steering feedback is much better in the M2C (still not as good as a P Car)

6) I like the fact the OG M2 could fit 18's to it. I had to spend $5K+ to upgrade to an Essex BBK kit to do so.
