No problems of any sort like that here.
Definitely have it looked at. Couple of possibilities are the clutch is not fully disengaging (slightly dragging with pedal fully depressed), and it may need to be bled (air bled out of hydraulic line) or it's got mechanical issues. Another is the 1st gear synchro is not well.
My car had 9 miles on it when I bought it, and since I had given up my allocation locally to purchase it out of state back in September, I'm pretty sure that dealer gave someone one test drive in it (I bought it the 2nd day the dealer had it).
