I've heard of issues with EBC pads on more recent & heavier cars on track. I know several drivers also talk about liking the feel of the EBCs but the issue being terrible wear/longevity.
I think if you were using them on the street they might be alright, or might just wear more quickly. I wouldn't trust them on track, if you didn't watch them really carefully then I'd hate to find out how quickly they'd worn out when you reach a braking zone. Although when it comes to rotors, I wouldn't be as concerned.
