FWIW, here you go, straight from the horse's mouth: 'Technical Action' document 0033990100 of July 19, 2016 (see the text highlighted in yellow).

Quick translation:
"After the rear differential axle change it is additionally required to perform a break-in control [maintenance] (rear differential axle oil change after approx. 2,000 km [approx. 1,200 mi]) and to be charged under special diagnosis # 00 33 99 01 00.
It has to be pointed out to the client to observe the break-in procedure."

Anyway, ask your dealer to ensure checking with BMW whether this also applies in your country.
