The car just looks more proportionate and suited to be a sports auto... The lines, the width, the width.... the short roofline... The front looks just perfect to an M aero treatment. The M3 and M4 just look less beautiful at this point.
This by no means says anything else about what I know about the car. I have not driven the new M3 or M4, and I cannot imagine how they would compare to the new M2.

They got rid of that silver bit between grill and headlight! Pefect in my view as it removes the one bit (only bit) I don't like about the f8x aesthetics design. Now if they just diu that for the f8x and reduce the rear end slightly...?
